BACKGROUND
Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas is widely used in the low temperature sterilization process of medical equipment. After the sterilization process is completed, the EO gas (waste gas) is discharged from the sterilizer. However, EO is a recognized genotoxic chemical and is listed as one of the potent carcinogens by the World Health Organization,and it is almost tasteless at low concentrations, so its adverse effects on the environment and personnel cannot be easily detected by people. If the waste gas is not treated efficiently, it will inevitably affect the surrounding environment and the health of the workers and residents exposed to it.
In order to protect the environment, turn waste into useful resources and reduce production costs, our company has developed a number of patented technologies on industrial waste gas treatment in cooperation with the Institute of Catalytic Reaction Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology. We have also launched some exhaust treatment equipment, mainly the EOHCL type purification absorption column series, on the basis of our experience in research and development of sterilizers and exhaust treatment equipment.
