What is Ethylene Oxide Used For?
1. Sterilization of medical devices
It is used to sterilize medical devices that are not resistant to high temperature and moisture (such as endoscopes, surgical instruments, disposable syringes, etc.), because it can penetrate the packaging materials and sterilize thoroughly.
2. Sterilization of pharmaceutical packaging materials
